Will McKinstry seeding onions
We're thrilled to announce that we've officially kicked off our seeding and transplanting activities in the greenhouse. Some of the first crops we have seeded include tomatoes, flowers, herbs, onions, broccoli, cabbage and much more. Some of these plants will be transferred to our fields later in the spring, providing fresh vegetables for you in the summer, while others will be available for purchase, allowing you to cultivate your own home garden.
Our team has also been hard at work ensuring that all our equipment is finely tuned and ready to hit the fields running. With the arrival of warm weather, we've begun plowing our fields and planting some of our initial crops, including radishes, peas, and spinach. Soon we will plant our first sweet corn, which is grown under a protective plastic which protects the crop from cooler temperatures and ensures it is ready for harvest at the earliest opportunity.
