May Field Update From Farmer Will!

As we venture further into the heart of the growing season, every day brings new excitement and activity here in our fields. With the warm sun shining down, our dedicated crew is hard at work ensuring that our farm continues to flourish.

Currently, our focus is on planting and nurturing our beloved crops. We've been busy getting our tomato plants settled into their new homes in the soil, and before long, we'll be transplanting our peppers to join them. Additionally, we're sowing the seeds for a bountiful winter squash harvest, carefully tending to each plant as it takes root.

But the planting doesn't stop there – far from it! Like clockwork, we're cultivating our radish crop every 7 days, ensuring a steady supply of these crisp, peppery gems. Likewise, we're diligently transplanting broccoli and cabbage on the same schedule, and our sweet corn is going into the ground every 5 days, promising sweet summer delights in the weeks to come.

As our crew tends to the needs of our growing plants, they're also hard at work harvesting the freshest produce for your enjoyment. From vibrant spinach and peppery radishes to tender asparagus and tangy rhubarb, our fields are overflowing with goodness waiting to be savored.

Excitingly, our first strawberry field is on track to ripen in just 2-3 weeks, and we couldn't be more thrilled! But that's just the beginning – soon, we'll be adding fresh lettuce, beans, peas, and more to our harvest lineup, ensuring a diverse array of flavors for our customers to enjoy.

In addition to our current endeavors, we've been investing in the future of our farm. Recently, we planted an impressive 14,000 asparagus plants, laying the groundwork for delicious asparagus harvests in the years to come. And to sweeten the deal, we've expanded our strawberry offerings by transplanting ever-bearing varieties alongside our traditional June-bearing strawberries, guaranteeing a steady supply of fresh strawberries all summer long.

As we continue to grow and evolve, we're grateful for your ongoing support and enthusiasm for our farm-fresh produce. Thank you for joining us on this journey – we can't wait to share the fruits of our labor with you!
